62nd Stockton Art League Juried Exhibition at the Haggin Museum

The Haggin Museum is has a lovely Guilded-Age collection of French, English, and American landscape paintings. Only fitting therefore, that it hosts an annual juried exhibition featuring current Western landscape painters.

The Museum is situated in a grassy park at the center of Stockton, an agricultural powerhouse on the San Joaquin River. The original owner of the building collected Bierstadt, Hill, Innes and Bonheur, many of which are on view on the main floor. For my entry in in the 62nd Annual, I’m happy to have struck it lucky again with Molate Quonset Huts.

The show opens on Sept 5, with a reception October 12, 1–4PM Their website has a map and other info: Haggin Website. David and I had fun visiting the permanent collection and visiting their local history section. Did you know Caterpillar started in Stockton?

If you are in the area on October 12, I’d love to see you at the reception.
