A U.S. Foreign Service kid (Japan, Spain, South America,Washington D.C.), I settled in San Francisco Bay area after earning a Mills College B.A.
An M.A. in Painting from San Francisco State University came later. After working from my imagination for several years, I turned to painting from live subjects, and the imaginative possibilities in studio figure setups and California landscape. I am drawn to the freshness of color and gesture I use when I respond to a real situation.
